Kraft Heinz makes Marcel Regis president of West and East markets

US-based food and beverage company Kraft Heinz has appointed Marcel Regis president of its West and East emerging markets division, effective from 3 February 2025.

Regis will oversee the company's operations across Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Regis brings extensive experience to his new role at Kraft Heinz, having previously worked with Loft, a technology company in Latin America, and Anheuser-Busch InBev.

At Loft, he served as chief operating officer from July 2022. His tenure at Anheuser-Busch InBev spanned 25 years, culminating in his position as president of Colombia.

Kraft Heinz CEO Carlos Abrams-Rivera said: “Marcel is a proven leader with extensive international experience helping transform and grow businesses across the consumer goods industry.

“Emerging markets is one of our three growth pillars, and Marcel has the experience, mindset and vision that we need to accelerate growth in critical markets around the world.”

During his time at Anheuser-Busch InBev, Regis held multiple leadership roles including president of South Africa post the SABMiller integration.

His international management experience is complemented by earlier positions such as global vice-president for commercial integration of SABMiller and non-alcoholic beverages vice-president in Brazil.

Regis holds a degree from Universidade Católica do Salvador and an MBA from Business School São Paulo and Fundacāo Getulio Vargas.

He said: "It is an honour to join Kraft Heinz at such a pivotal time for the company and with the mission to help spark new levels of growth in emerging markets.

"Kraft Heinz is an iconic food company and I’m drawn to the company dream - to be the leader in elevating and creating food that makes you feel good. I look forward to working with the team to help build the next chapter of growth for Kraft Heinz.”

Regis will succeed Bruno Keller, who will leave Kraft Heinz on 7 March 2024 after more than a decade with the company.

Keller's contributions have been significant, especially during the company's transformative phase when he held leadership roles including president of Latin America and Canada.

Rivera continued: “I want to thank Bruno for the countless contributions he has made to Kraft Heinz over the years.

“He is a skilled leader and has been a tremendous partner to me, the executive leadership team, and his many team members around the world.”
