Why holding Bitcoin may be the trade of the century

Bitcoin’s future prices and long-term investment strategies took center stage as Roundtable anchor, Rob Nelson, and Host of CryptoLifer, Sam Price, shared insights on how they approach the cryptocurrency market.

While Nelson highlighted ambitious price predictions stemming from historical halving cycles, Sam Price detailed his personal trading strategies and philosophy on holding bitcoin for generational wealth.

Nelson opened the conversation by referencing projections from the Chief of Staff at Bitcoin Magazine, who suggested bitcoin could reach between $500,000 and $700,000 by 2025. “If you look back over the last cycles, it’s not crazy to imagine,” Nelson stated, adding that while $1.5 million seems extreme, significant growth remains plausible.

Price revealed how he manages risk during a bull run. “I’ve been losing sleep because I’m in heavy profits on trades,” Price admitted, citing significant investments in Solana and Chainlink. He shared his plan to scale out of positions using the prior cycle's indicators, targeting a range of $180,000 to $230,000 for bitcoin. However, Price emphasized caution, remarking, “Anything is possible.”

When Nelson pressed him about scaling out of bitcoin, Price clarified his position: “I’ll never sell my bitcoin, never ever. My goal is to use bitcoin as collateral and pass it on to my three daughters.” He stressed the importance of viewing bitcoin as a long-term asset rather than a quick trade.

Nelson echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the next two years hold immense potential for bitcoin’s value. “There’s no scenario where bitcoin isn’t well above what it’s at right now,” he remarked, cautioning against exiting bitcoin too early in the cycle.

For Price, bitcoin represents more than a financial asset; it’s a legacy. “This is the trade of the decade, maybe the century,” he said. “It’s about creating generational wealth and thinking beyond temporal profits.” Price urged listeners to consider the bigger picture, investing with a vision for future generations.
